Kanani-Cats ha Jeruschalmi
Picture gallery

There are three lines of Kanaani. Each line is comprised of the same components (breeds) without being directly related to the others.

The genetic diversity of the Kanaani is thus guaranteed for a long period of time.

To begin with, I would like to present some of the cats from the first line:

Khalaf ha Jeruschalmi, born in 1998

This is Holy Cities Alisea, Khalafs daughter. My co-breeder Susanne Rixen is very proud about her beauty.
Khufu ha Jeruschalmi, Khalaf's brother, is the most handsome male from the first line.

He has particularly attractive markings on his shoulders.

This is Pamiu ha Jeruschalmit. She too was born in Jerusalem, in 1997.

Her colour is exactly the way it should be, as are her spots.

She is a very attractive Kanaani and has a wonderful nature too.

Several examples from the second line

First the male cat Gilgamesch ha Jeruschalmi. He has very pronounced ticking, so pronounced that his spots are barely visible in unfavourable light conditions. Surprisingly he has not passed this on. Gilgamesch was born in Jerusalem in 1997.

This is Jael ha Jeruschalmit, born in 1998. She has very large, partly 2-tone spots. I hope through careful selection to be able to create an even more intensive contrast. She also has perfect eye colour - gooseberry green.
Jael with kitten.

pepy They are no kitten anymore!
Pepy young stud is born February 2000. He resembles father Gilgamesch very much but his spots are much nicer and his color a beautiful warm brown.

The 3rd line

This line is currently being developed. Here is Laila ha Jeruschalmit. She is only the third breeding generation. Her daughter is Rischat, she has a Oriental father. Her cousins name is Simcha also belonging to the 4th generation.
In 2 years this line will also reveal its true colours. Experimental breeding is synonymous with a lot of patience coupled with a feeling for the quiescent nature of every animal.

After 10 years breeding things become somewhat easier. It would be considerably easier, however, if a few enthusiastic breeders would join us. Only three of us are actually involved in breeding the Kanaani at the moment, and that is not enough.

Does anyone fancy joining us? It is a wonderful assignment!
